CL Reunites With Parris Goebel for "CHUCK" Music Video
A powerful track off her album ‘ALPHA.’
CL is back with a new music video for her GZBs. The K-pop star, who recently surprised fans at Coachella with a 2NE1 reunion, has dropped a powerful visual for her track “CHUCK” off her album ALPHA.
Shot in Los Angeles, the video stars Parris Goebel and her crew, who previously worked with the South Korean musician for her solo track “Hello Bitches” back in 2015. Both creatives appear in all-black tracksuits as they dance to the upbeat song described to take inspiration from ’80s and ’90s MTV.
CL told Billboard about the meaning behind “CHUCK:” “I love this song because it gives me MTV vibes [from] my teenage years. It makes me move! I actually have a dance video that I worked on around this because I think it needs a visual to express the song well.” She continued to explain that the word “chuck (척)” has a double meaning in Korean, one being “pretentious and fake” and the other being “bullseye.” She further commented: ”It’s about the duality, and I talk about that. I am excited about performing this track.”
