Demi Lovato Shares the Title of Her Upcoming Single From Her Punk Rock Era
It’s “so representative of me, where I started and who I am today,” she says.
Demi Lovato is getting ready for her punk rock era. The singer-slash-actor revealed the title of her upcoming single: “Skin of My Teeth.”
Skin of My Teeth” will be the lead single of her upcoming album, which she’s been sharing snippets of on social media for the last few months. The singer confirmed the single when a Twitter fan account wrote, “‘Skin of My Teeth’ is the lead, according to the streets.” Another fan account replied, “What street?” Lovato then chimed in and wrote “My Street.”
Lovato then posted the Twitter exchange to her Instagram Story along with a message. “Getting emotional listening to my new album because I’m so proud of it,” she wrote. “It’s my absolute best yet and so representative of me, where I started and who I am today.”
A few weeks ago, Lovato, whom recently added she and her pronouns to her Instagram bio, shared a status update on her forthcoming LP. “I’ve only made a few songs so it’s still very new,” Lovato told Inked Magazine. “My writing style hasn’t really changed much. It’s just going into the studio, thinking about a concept that I’m passionate about and wanting to write a song about it.”
Lovato also revealed she’s “excited to be performing again and releasing music.”
