Carhartt WIP x Toogood's New Collaboration Will Be On Display at Salone Del Mobile
Showcasing the labels’ shared utilitarian ethos.
Carhartt WIP launched a unisex collaboration with contemporary British brand Toogood centered around everyday uniform wear.
Fusing iconic Carhartt WIP styles with Toogood’s minimal aesthetic, the collection is made up of architectural shapes and voluminous silhouettes. Arriving in a tonal color palette of off-white, black and “Hamilton Brown,” the collection offers re-worked pieces that have undergone a signature Toogood remodelling. Consisting of two jackets, a shirt, overalls, a T-shirt and a pant, each piece is cut in Carhartt WIP’s trademark organic cotton canvas. The standout piece in the collaboration is the jacket, a combination of Carhartt WIP’s Michigan Jacket and Toogood’s Photographer Jacket which seeks to showcase the shared utilitarian ethos of both labels.
Highlighting the re-cutting and re-working process, Toogood has created a series of one-off styles made up of patchwork fabrics of contrasting fabrics. Making its debut at Milan‘s Salone del Mobile furniture fair, the pieces will be showcased alongside three sculptural puppets wearing oversized versions of the collection’s garments.
Toogood x Carhartt WIP will launch online at Carhartt’s website and on Toogood’s website from June 7, alongside select Carhartt WIP stores.
