Jennifer Lopez Uses Gender-Neutral Pronouns to Introduce Her Child, Emme
The 14-year-old joined their mother on stage for the first time since Super Bowl 2020.
Jennifer Lopez, who recently premiered her new documentary Halftime on Netflix, referred to her child Emme with gender-neutral pronouns while introducing them to an audience at a live event in Los Angeles.
“I ask them to sing with me all the time but they won’t, so this is a very special occasion, because they’re very, very busy and booked and pricey. They cost me when they come out,” the 52-year-old said at the Dodgers Foundation’s Blue Diamond Gala. The musician continued: “They’re worth every single penny because they’re my favorite duet partner of all time. So if you would indulge me.” Emme then joined their mother on stage, singing a duet of Christina Perri’s “A Thousand Years.”
JLo and Emme have performed together in the past, the last time being the Super Bowl Halftime Show in 2020.
