Barack Obama Shares His Go-to 2022 Summer Playlist
Featuring tracks by Rosalía, Harry Styles, Bad Bunny, Rihanna and more.
Barack Obama has taken to social media to share his 20022 summer playlist, featuring a mix of genres from catchy bops to slow jams.
“Every year, I get excited to share my summer playlist because I learn about so many new artists from your replies — it’s an example of how music really can bring us all together,” he wrote. “Here’s what I’ve been listening to this summer. What songs would you add?”
The former U.S. president included music from some of this year’s hottest artists. A few recently-released tracks to appear on the prestigious playlist are Harry Styles‘ “Music for a Sushi Restaurant,” off his latest album, Harry’s House, and Beyoncé’s “Break My Soul“– the first single from her upcoming album, Renaissance. Of course, Obama also made sure to let fans know which Spanish tracks he’s into these days. He included Rosalía’s “SAOKO,” which samples Wisin and Daddy Yankee’s reggaeton hit “Saoco,” and”Ojitos Lindos” by Bad Bunny and Bomba Estéreo.
Additionally, Obama incorporated a few classic throwbacks, such as “Dancing in the Green” by Bruce Springsteen and “Let’s Go Crazy” by Prince.
