Zac Efron Returns to 'High School Musical's East High Nearly 1 Month After Vanessa Hudgens
Once a wildcat, always a wildcat.
Zac Efron has sent fans into frenzy after returning to East High from High School Musical. What makes this even more interesting is the fact that Vanessa Hudgens visited the institution about a month earlier.
“Don’t you … Forget about me,” Efron captioned a photo at the school, giving us all the nostalgia with a reference to The Breakfast Club. Meanwhile, when Hudgens visited the school, for her post, she referenced an iconic line from her HSM character, Gabriella, who tells Troy (Efron) the following: “Do you remember in kindergarten how you’d meet a kid and know nothing about them, then 10 seconds later you’re playing like you’re best friends because you didn’t have to be anything but yourself?”
Naturally, fans are speculating if the cryptic posts are the actors’ way of teasing a new project or some sort of reboot. Efron previously stated he’d be interested in reprising his role. “Of course,” he told E! in May. “Seriously, having the opportunity, in any form, to go back and work with that team would be so amazing. My heart’s still there. That would be incredible. I hope it happens!”
