Britney Spears and Beyoncé Were Reportedly So Close to Collaborating Again
Here’s what could have been.
Britney Spears and Beyoncé almost collaborated on a project, but it ended up falling through, according to Page Six.
The outlet reported, “The music superstar asked Britney Spears to appear in a new music video, but the collaboration ultimately did not come to fruition, multiple sources tell Page Six exclusively. It is unclear why the plan fell through.”
This would have marked Spears’ second music project since her 13-year-long conservatorship ended in November 2021. Her music comeback was the Elton John duet, “Hold Me Closer,” which dropped in August 2022.
Beyoncé and Spears have previously worked together. Queen Bey, the Princess of Pop and Pink joined forces for a Pepsi commercial in 2004 in which they did their own rendition of Queen’s “We Will Rock You.” Enrique Iglesias also made appearance in the gladiator-themed ad.
