JW Anderson Teases Frog Clogs Ahead of Milan Fashion Week

Hopping soon to runways near you.

JW Anderson is quickly becoming one of fashion’s most playful designers, and it’s for good reason. No stranger to having a little fun on the runway, the brand’s recent London Fashion Week showcase saw Emily Ratajkowski sashay through a Soho casino and its latest bag release took the form (and flight) of an actual pigeon.

Now, the brand has shared a teaser of its upcoming Milan Fashion Week collection and essentially, it’s a pair of clogs inspired by a frog. While that might sound like a bizarre kids’ nursery rhyme and a bit of a joke, we can assure you that we’re 100% serious. Creative director Jonathan Anderson shared an image of the new footwear on his own Instagram account, with the cryptic caption reading “Milan.” The brand itself shared a video clip of the clogs in action, with a caption that read “SCREAMING.”

The picture showcases a rubber green upper complete with a red tongue-like sole and yellow eyes which stick out. The slip-on shoes appear to be a collaboration with frog wellington boot brand, Wellipets, as a collaborative logo adorns the shoe’s insole and appears embossed on the outsole.

Take a closer look at the clogs above, and check out the video clip below.
