Chrissy Teigen and John Legend Welcome New Baby
The musician shared the exciting news at a private concert.
Chrissy Teigen and John Legend have welcomed their new baby.
On January 13, the musician told the crowd at a private concert that he had met “the little baby this morning,” adding, “What a blessed day.” He admitted he “didn’t get a lot of sleep,” as reported by People.
The news comes after the celebrity couple opened up about a miscarriage they suffered in 2020. Teigen wrote in an essay at the time, “I feel bad our grief was so public because I made the joy so public,” She added that her baby Jack “will always be loved, explained to [her] kids as existing in the wind and trees and the butterflies they see.”
Teigen and Legend are already parents to their son Miles Theodore, 4, and daughter Luna Simone, 6.
The two announced the pregnancy in March 2022. “We’re all excited, and, you know, my kids are old enough to really be aware of what’s happening, so they’re really anticipating having a new sibling in their lives. And I think they’ll be good at being a big sister and big brother,” Legend said. He also explained that while the experience is exciting, it hasn’t been an easy journey. “There are a lot of women and families that have fertility struggles, and I think no one should feel ashamed of needing some help sometimes. And I think Chrissy’s done a good job of destigmatizing some of these things that so many people go through in silence… Whether it’s IVF, or other fertility struggles, whether it’s losing a pregnancy, I think both of us have felt like it’s good for us to share this with other people because other people are going through it too, we don’t think they should suffer in silence without knowing there are other people out there who are feeling the same thing.”
