Stella McCartney and adidas Debut Spring/Summer 2023 "ICONS"
Featuring the Sportswear Run Shoe, an all-new gender-neutral silhouette.
adidas by Stella McCartney just dropped its latest Spring/Summer 2023 campaign, debuting the new “ICONS” collection.
In a bid to blend sport with style through a fusion of performance-wear and athleisure, the new collection features signature Stella McCartney designs, reimagined in classic shades of black, grey and white.
Launching alongside the apparel drop is a new gender-neutral footwear silhouette, dubbed the Sportswear Run Shoe. Made, in part, from natural and renewable materials, the new sneaker acts as a continuation of the brand’s commitment to responsible design and conscious innovation. Aside from its 30% natural upper, the shoe features a Primeknit sock for added comfort and support.
“We’re very excited to unveil the ICONS collection as we continue to push the boundaries of style, sustainability, and performance. Through functional yet stylish materials and statement colors, we wanted to inject modernity into our most iconic designs. Our goal was to support and invigorate our amazing community of athletes and equip them with all they need for their athletic pursuits, and we hope this collection inspires them to push their boundaries in ultimate comfort and style,” says Stella McCartney in a press release.
The collection includes the Truepace High Support Bra, crafted from 79% recycled polyester and designed in a ‘Seaspray’ print. Drawing inspiration from the movement and texture of sea spray and breaking waves, the bra features AEROREADY technology to help keep wearers dry and supported. ”ICONS” also features the Truepace Long-Sleeve Top, also developed with AEROREADY technology to help manage moisture. Designed with a half zip for ease of wear, the tight-fitting top acts as second skin for maximum comfort and support.
Finally, the collection features the Long Sleeve Puffa Jacket, made from 100% recycled polyester and long zip-off sleeves for added functionality. Wearers are also able to adjust the waist to fit different body types and silhouettes.
The new adidas by Stella McCartney SS22 “ICONS” collection will be available from February 16 on the adidas website.
