Watch the Trailer for 'Air,' a Film About How Nike Signed Michael Jordan

Ben Affleck, Matt Damon and Viola Davis are set to star in Air, an all-new film which details the process behind how Nike signed Michael Jordan — and we finally have an official trailer.
First announced last year, the film sees Affleck as its director, alongside playing the role of Phil Knight, Nike’s co-founder. Davis stars as Jordan’s mom, Deloris Jordan, while Damon portrays the character of Sonny Vaccaro – the marketing exec at Nike who managed to get Jordan to sign with the brand.
Alongside Affleck, Davis and Damon, the film sees Jason Bateman playing Rob Strasser, Chris Messina as David Falk and Marlon Wayans as George Raveling. The film takes an in-depth look at the supposed risks that Nike took in signing Jordan, and how they worked to convince him and his parents that it would be worth their time and energy. What’s more, Air takes us on a journey behind the design of the first Air Jordan 1 High “Chicago” and plenty more.
Air is set to premiere in theaters worldwide on April 5, 2023, ahead of its debut on Prime Video.
