SZA Confirms 'SOS' Deluxe Album
The artist was just named Billboard’s Woman of the Year.
SZA has been killing life lately as the Grammy award-winning artist has just confirmed her plans to release a deluxe version of her latest album SOS.
While the singer teased the updated iteration in a sit-down session with Most Requested Live, admitting that she recorded “over 100 songs,” she made it official in an interview with Billboard. The Missouri native deservedly earned the title of 2023 Woman of the Year as her latest body of work claimed the number one spot for nearly seven weeks and was certified platinum by the RIAA.
Reflecting on her monumental ascent to stardom, the formerly indie singer shared, “Right now, I just have extreme gratitude because I swear to God, I never thought I’d be No. 1 for even a week.” Although she didn’t reveal an exact release date, the deluxe version of SOS will feature ten additional songs for fans to get into their feelings and want to kill their ex over.
We won’t be the only ones tuning in as Lizzo has also declared “2023 the year of SZA” as she cheered her friend on, adding, “Manifestation is real. SZA has been Woman of the Year for me for at least a decade. I’m always such a fan of her music, a fan of her artistry, but I really love her as a friend. Solána Imani Rowe, you will always be ‘the one.’”
SZA’s SOS tour kicks off tomorrow in Michigan.
