All-Inclusive Brand 323's SS23 Collection Is Like a Warm Hug

From your quirky, well-dressed grandma.

Designer Jillian Maddocks is truly reinventing the wheel with 323, a size, gender and disability-inclusive fashion brand that aims to find the humor and light in everything.

“I want 323 to make a small positive impact on someone’s day. I want 323 to make the weirdos know it’s okay to be weird. I hope that 323 continues to be a space where I can create artful pieces that bring joy to people’s lives. I hope that it continues to be a space where I can help people feel empowered, respected and valued in their workplace,” Maddocks shares in an exclusive press release.

The label’s Spring/Summer 2023 collection delivers a kaleidoscope of colors and a myriad of silhouettes, resulting in clothing for every and all bodies. The latest offering also puts sustainability at the forefront as pieces are crafted from unlikely materials like insulation foam and plastic bottle caps. SS23 marries a flamboyant sense of maximalism with a reverence for precious objects as garments are seemingly plucked from your quirk, albeit well-dressed grandma’s closet. Vintage quilted blankets are transformed into pants with a fluffy yellow trim, providing the perfect sensory experience for the wearer, while white terry cloth dresses are decorated with statement-making embroidery.

Grandma core-chic patterns and feminine bows juxtapose kitschy eco-shag faux fur sweaters, complete with comically oversized shoulders. Maddocks also isn’t afraid to experiment with tailoring as a pinstripe blouse flaunts voluminous sleeves and ruching in the center of the chest, creating a cropped hemline. Meanwhile, bubblegum pink sweaters with elongated sleeves boast elegant cut-outs, not only for ease of use, but presumably for showing off the jewelry an ex-husband’s will can buy. Thoughtfully made, all items from the collection can be worn without undergarments for those sensitive to fabric.

Take a look at 323’s SS23 collection in the gallery above.
