We don’t care about “good” skin. We’re all about healthy skin.

During the last few years, we’ve all found a love for skincare trends. Due to the pandemic, the concept of taking care of the body’s largest organ has evolved and gained more respect and a faithful audience. Brands have caught on to this idea and are fighting for the #1 spots on consumer vanities, shying away from just the one-all-be-all cleanser, moisturizer and serum effect.

Looking back over my skincare buys for 2022, brands had some top-level moments and interesting techniques that we’ll still be using in 2023. As the seasons are now set to change shortly, we’re putting everyone on to what will be the latest and greatest for our skin in 2023. While we don’t know for sure which trends or active ingredients will be around for the long haul of the year, we have the forecast for what will be effective to the masses over the next few months.

Keep reading on what we have to say about the skincare trends and buzzy ingredients you need to watch for this upcoming Spring.

Technology-Focused Skincare

The lines between tech and the beauty industry have officially merged. Now, more than ever we see more skincare brands that defer to LED light therapy and microcurrents for the effectiveness of their products.

Multi-Purposeful Products

The excessive skincare boom pre-pandemic ushered in space for minimalist routines to rear its head in 2020 and beyond. Consumers now only want one or two products in their regimen that does everything from repairing skin barriers to deep hydration and even sun care.

Hypochlorous Acid Serum

Hyaluronic Acid and niacinamide will always be star ingredients to add to your routine. However, the new buzzy ingredient on the block is Hypochlorous Acid is the new girl on the block and for a good reason. The acid is produced naturally by our skin to fight infections and when formulated into skincare products, it’s great for those with eczema, acne and any irritating skin condition.

Ingestible Skincare

Just like ingestible beauty, internal skincare has joined the chat. These days, the average beauty consumer is much more conscious of what they put on their skin and also what they intake as well. How you’re feeling on the inside shows up on the outside, so this approach focuses on improving health from within to yield the best outward results.
