Miley Cyrus Finally Drops the Demo Version of "Flowers"
As a way to thank fans for their continued support.
UPDATE (March 3, 2023): Miley Cyrus has released the highly anticipated demo version of “Flowers.”
The raw track was released nearly two months after the original; it’s the second song she’s dropped off her forthcoming album, Endless Summer Vacation.
“Flowers (Demo)” gives a glimpse into Cyrus’ incredible vocals. In addition to the two versions of “Flowers,” Endless Summer Vacation is made up of 11 other tracks.

Miley Cyrus has announced she’s releasing the demo version of “Flowers” as a way to express gratitude to fans for their support on the hit song.
“Flowers is #1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 for the 6th week in a row,” she tweeted alongside a photo of herself wearing a shimmering gold unitard. “To THANK YOU I’m dropping the Flowers Demo on Friday.”
Cyrus released the track on January 13, which is ex Liam Hemsworth‘s birthday. Since then, the track has been rumored to be about the Australian actor. For starters, the song is seemingly a response to Bruno Mars‘ “When I was Your Man,” which Hemsworth supposedly dedicated to her.
Though the Disney Channel alum hasn’t addressed those specifics, her older sister, Brandi Cyrus, sort of did. “Miley’s new song, all the tea … and all the narratives that fans are making on TikTok. It’s so good,” Brandi previously told Wells Adams on their Your Favorite Thing podcast. “The song did come out on his birthday — was that on purpose? I don’t know. Can’t say. Genius, though.”
The demo version of “Flowers” drops on March 3 and her new album, Endless Summer Vacation, releases on March 10.
