Did Law Roach Just Come Out As Aromantic?

The celebrity stylist details why he doesn’t “do” relationships.

In his latest interview, celebrity stylist Law Roach details his dating life for the first time, publicly.

On Logo’s Spill with Johnny Sibilly, Roach revealed “This is gonna sound really sad, but I always wanted to say this in a public space. I don’t think I was put on this Earth for romantic love,” he said. “I’ve always felt, even growing up, that I was put on this Earth to be adored and for me to help people and to love people.”

As for why, “I don’t really feel or desire romantic love,” he shared. He continues to reveal that he’s never been in a romantic relationship and does not have plans to.

Where this may sound alarming to some, Roach’s revelation aligns with many members of the aromantic community. Aromanticism is a sexual orientation in which individuals feel no romantic attraction to others. The orientation differs from asexuality in that it does not refer to sexual attraction, but simply romance. However, it is possible to be both aromantic and asexual.

On the topic of public announcements, Roach recently retired from the world of celebrity styling, promising to only style his favorites such as Zendaya and Megan thee Stallion. According to him, industry politics overshadowed the art of styling, leading him to retire. Roach’s approach to all things is clearly different from the status quo, and his latest revelation just might break the internet — again.
