Keke Palmer is taking it back to another era in her new music video for “Love Like This.”
In the official music video premiere for “Love Like This,” the singer-slash-actor offers classic glitz and glamour as she performs her latest single from Big Boss. Meanwhile, the lyrics offer a vulnerable side of Palmer, who shows there is strength in openness when it comes to love.
“I am beyond excited to share this music video with my fans,” Palmer tells Hypebae. “‘Love Like This’ represents the unapologetic expression of desire and celebrates the power of embracing passion in all its forms. I hope this song inspires people to love openly and live life fearlessly.”
“Love Like This” appears on Palmer’s latest album, Big Boss, which dropped on May 12. The LP coincides with a short film of the same title. “Big Boss is the remarkable true story of Keke Palmer, a young woman from Chicago who faces immense challenges in the male-dominated music industry,” reads a logline for the film. “Written and directed by Keke herself, the film showcases her perseverance, self-love, unyielding faith, and indomitable spirit. Throughout her journey, Keke discovers that the greatest obstacle she must overcome is learning to trust her instincts.”
