Yes, Ariana Grande Is Dating SpongeBob — Here’s How They Met
Following her recent divorce from Dalton Gomez.
Following the news of her divorce, singer and actor Ariana Grande could be in a new celebrity couple.
According to sources, the Wicked star is dating her co-star Ethan Slater. The actor played SpongeBob in the SpongeBob SquarePants musical adaptation — not the film. The Maryland-born actor also received a Tony nomination in 2018 for the role.

Despite the recent breaking of news, both artists appear to have met after their respective divorces. They are also set to debut their Wicked performances Thanksgiving 2024, where Slater’s character Bow, has a crush on Glinda (played by Grande).
Although reasons for Slater’s divorce are currently unknown, Grande recently divorced due to post-pandemic blues. According to a source close to the former couple, Grande’s ex-husband Dalton Gomez struggled to adjust to her level of celebrity. “He had not dealt with her schedule, the paparazzi and the various opportunities that took her out of L.A.”
However, it appears Grande has found new love in SpongeBob. It appears the rom-com renaissance is extending to Broadway.
