Mariah the Scientist Confirms She Dated Lil Yachty — And He Never Listened to Her Music
In a new ‘Caresha, Please’ interview.
In a special Halloween episode of Caresha Please, hosted by City Girls‘ Yung Miami, singer Mariah the Scientist sits down for an interview.
Those following the Atlanta-based singer, know she’s currently in a relationship with rapper Young Thug who’s currently incarcerated. However, many have suspected her first album “MASTER,” was about ex-boyfriend, rapper Lil Yachty. Why? Well, the project was released on his birthday.
In true Caresha form, she didn’t shy away from the questions the girls really have. Starting with… did Mariah really date Lil Yachty? “We dated,” Mariah confirmed reluctantly.
We’re loving this duo!

She continued to share the story of the first song she wrote for the “Poland” singer. The pair met in high school and before she knew it, she was a struggling college student with little to offer — so she believed. So, she “Made him two different songs, and I put them on an iPod, and I gifted it to him… signed the back. And it was real cute,” she said.
However, Yachty wasn’t impressed and she revealed she felt like she might have stepped on his toes. But when she played the song for her friends, they were impressed and encouraged her to pursue a music career. And so she did.

Ironically, in our 2021 interview with Mariah, we asked her “What was the very first song you wrote and what was the inspiration behind it?” She replied: “The first song I wrote was probably wack, but it was a Valentine’s Day gift I made. I guess I was inspired by the sentiment of really thoughtful gifts that have nothing to do with materialism.”
Could she have secretly given us the drop in 2021?
