Dr. Martens Becomes Sole Mates With Awake NY in First-Ever Collab

Featuring two fresh takes on the “Lowell” silhouette.

You know and love Dr. Martens. Punky and funky, the German shoe brand has proved it can make a shoe for any occasion — all while sticking to its yellow welt stitch DNA. Now, Dr. Martens is taking its signature look to the next level through an exciting, first-time collaboration with New York‘s luxury streetwear label, Awake NY. Together, they’ve created a new iteration of the “Lowell” shoe, the “Dr. Martens x Awake NY Lowell.”

This collaboration draws inspiration from the subcultures of New York City and the rich traditions of the Cumbia music scene, merging these influences into two hair-on-leather designs. The shoes are available in two eye-catching colorways — a bright green and “Peony Navy.”

Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, the two new “Lowell” shoes feature a textured hair-on-leather upper, paired with a black-oiled leather backstrap and embossed with the Awake NY logo. Tonal stitch detailing runs across the quarter and moc-toe vamp, while gold star eyelets bring a refined touch. To add comfort and durability, the padded collar and the upper are anchored by a rugged “BEN” outsole. This is all finished with Dr. Martens’ classic yellow welt stitch — obviously.

Each pair comes with three sets of colored laces, allowing wearers to further express their individual style. Adding to the collaborative flair, both the Dr. Martens and Awake NY logos are embossed in gold on the sole.
