3 Dating Tips You Need To Know, According to Annabelle Gesson
Gen Alpha’s fav big sister shares her top tips.
From college hookups to being boysober, TikTok and FanFix creator Annabelle Gesson is sharing dating advice Gen Z and Gen Alpha actually want to know.
If there’s one thing Gesson’s learned on her chaotic dating journey, it’s that sisterhood is everything. Whether it’s your big sister or the group chat guiding you through life, we all need someone to spill the real or like Gesson says, “You’ll have to learn the hard way.”
For those who weren’t blessed with a genetic bestie, the FanFix creator is diving into the unspoken social rules of campus. ”My page consists of advice videos, where we get down to the real stuff,” she told us. “College life, dating, situationships, and more. I want my page to be a place where anyone can ask anything— because let’s be honest, we’ve all been through it!”

Given recent news of TikTok restrictions in the U.S., creators have been transitioning their communities to other platforms, like Gesson. “On my Fanfix page, I give a closer look into my day-to-day life and connect 1-on-1 directly with my fans!” Although her tips are for Gen Alpha, it’s timeless advice every bae needs to hear.

“Never, ever have it in writing”
“If you go crazy on a guy, that’s fine — we’ve all been there,” Gesson says, “but never, ever have it in writing.” Why? Well, you might be communicating with the purest intentions, but boys don’t always show the same grace. And the group chat definitely won’t either.
“Once it’s in writing babe, it’s forever. Show up at his house, I literally don’t care. Do not write it down though.”
“Never, ever beg for a man to stay”
“You know how we get the ick when they have ketchup on the side of their mouth” she opens, “their version is when we beg them to stay.”
“Your decisions follow you”
This one’s a rule of thumb from career to the hookups you destress with. “The things you choose to do in the first year of college will follow you” so make decisions you’re proud of. This doesn’t mean you can’t have fun — you’re young! Just be smart and make decisions future you would be proud of.
