Jennie and 'Riverdale's Charles Melton Have a "Love Hangover"
The icon introduces an all-new creative style — and it eats.
South Korean musician Jennie teases her new album with a new single.
Releasing via ODDATELIER/Columbia Records, Ruby is closer than you think. On January 22, the album’s teaser hit Jennie’s Youtube channel and the only word to describe it is goosebumps. Opening with a new look a red hot wig, her voice drops in with the lyrics “In the dark I grew.”
The eerie, yet captivating trailer teases the full album launch date: March 7. Titled Ruby, a nod at her name Instagram name, Jennie Ruby Jane — and seemingly hinting at a new era. On January 31, the South Korean star released her single with Dominic Fike, “Love Hangover.” Starring with Riverdale‘s
Charles Melton. The music video was shot as satire, featuring Melton as he cries over his late love, Jennie.
With 15 tracks, Ruby hosts insane features with Doechii, Dominic Fike, Dua Lipa, FKJ, Childish Gambino and Kali Uchis. The movie-like trailer is Jennie’s latest drop following her “Mantra” music video where she donned emerging German label, Kitschy Couture. ”Wearing the opening look from Kitschy’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection, the singer dons a bridal white lace crop top with puffed sleeves and hand-crafted red roses, paired with the matching lace skirt, ribbons and ruffles,” we reported at the time.
As for the album announcement, Jennie’s fanbase is already losing it. “This teaser really gives you goosebumps, she really got me with those red lenses and red hair, I can’t believe she’s coming…” one wrote.
