A'ja Wilson and Nike's A'One Shoe Perfects Precision, Performance and Style

Offered in an all-pink gradient shade in tribute of Wilson’s favorite color.

WNBA star A’ja Wilson started playing basketball at just 11 years old. With her wealth of experience, she knows exactly what it takes for performance-driven footwear. So, it’s no surprise that Nike partnered with her to create her first signature design, along with a matching apparel line.

Although inspired by the brand’s Giannis basketball model, the A’One silhouette stands alone as a new creation and is over two years in the making. The sports player reflects on the journey on Nike’s newsroom page saying, “The making of this shoe has helped me redefine the limits of greatness and advance the game to another level. My signature creation is worth the wait — engineered for my game and style, we built it to motivate the next generation to go big.”

The A’One comes in a gradient pink shade (the athlete’s favorite color) and is packed with performance features. A Cushlon ST2 foam ensures smooth landings with a responsive burst upon impact and the interior features a supportive insole with a breathable upper to ensure optimal comfort. Meanwhile, a wave-like traction pattern on the sole provides perfect precision for cutting and pivoting on the court.

The outsole also features a tribute to Wilson’s grandmother, while a fierce postgame quote, “Weakness, weakness. We don’t have time for that” is embellished on the heel to capture her unyielding determination. The WNBA athlete shared in a press release, “From the beginning, we designed the shoe to support my game and to provide young hoopers a tool to help them level up. The A’One aces that assignment and we took the time to get it right.”

Nike and Wilson’s A’One signature collection is available for purchase from May 2025 on the brand’s official website. Keep your eyes peeled for more updates on our site and click the gallery to get a closer look at the shoe.
