Dilara Findikoglu FW25 Leads Us Into a Venusian Rebellion

After all, women don’t just come from Venus — they rule it.

It’s been said that men are from Mars and women are from Venus but in Dilara Findikoglu‘s world, women don’t just come from Venus, they rule it.

For Fall/Winter 2024, Findikoglu took over a church, draping the patriarchy in religious gowns. For FW25, the brand remains committed to its signature themes: unfiltered divine femininity and relentless defiance of oppressive power structures — but this time, the rebellion looks a little different.

Titled “Venus from Chaos,” the show opened with Dutch supermodel Lara Stone dressed in a powerful black snakeskin corset dress, setting the stage for a collection that felt both ethereal and dangerous. Slick dresses clung to the body like a second skin, one was tattooed with intricate designs by artist Jonah Slater. Then, there were the seashells — a nod to the goddess Venus, whose birth story began in the ocean, emerging from an oyster.

Findikoglu leaned into the mythology, embedding these symbols into every detail. Seashells and pearl-studded armor corsets contrasted fragility and power, while blood-red snakeskin pieces hinted at something more primal. Hair became an extension of this raw femininity — bejeweled strands cascaded down slick, wet-looking skin, while plaits sprouted from places society too often insists should be trimmed, erased and hidden.

The brand elevated its vision through a collaboration with Converse, reimagining the Chuck Taylors with a fresh twist. The trainers were deliberately worn-in, stitched with pearls and pins and given a raw, textured look that seamlessly aligned with the show’s aesthetic.

One unforgettable vision that we loved was “Look 23” aka Venus herself. The model emerged like a living masterpiece, draped in nothing but a cascade of fiery ginger hair that flowed from her scalp to her thighs. Her entire body shimmered in an otherworldly wash of iridescent purple and blue. She wasn’t wearing a look — she was the look, an ethereal embodiment of Botticelli’s The Birth of Venus as if she had stepped straight from the waves, reborn in Dilara Findikoglu’s universe.

In this alternate — and arguably superior Venusian realm, women reign with absolute freedom. “Venus from Chaos” envisioned a world where Earth crumbled into disorder and from its ruins, Venus arose — wild, unrestrained and unstoppable.
