ERL Joins the Flip Flop Phenomenon

Launching its first-ever pairs in “Low,” “Big” and “Huge” sizes.

ERL just launched its first-ever flip flop in a pretty big way. Given the brand’s relaxed and playful ethos, the release of the new silhouette actually makes a lot of sense, striking the perfect balance between craftsmanship and Californian spirit.

Designed by Eli Russell Linnetz in Venice Beach, the new silhouette lands in three varying sizes: “Low,” “Big” and “Huge.” The first is crafted with a mere one-inch sole, made from molded EVA rubber and foam. Taking things to the next level, the “Big” iteration boasts a five-inch sole, followed by the “Huge”, which features an unprecedented eight-inch sole that’s only available upon request.

The new release builds on the flip-flop’s ongoing presence in previous ERL collections, quietly styled alongside tailored suits and casual wear. It’s also the perfect time to launch, given the flip-flop has never been more popular, but for ERL, it feels like a pretty authentic silhouette.

Take a look at the new release above, now available in “Pirate Black” and “Sand” from the ERL website.
