Havaianas and Zellerfeld Drop a Futuristic "Top Toe Mule"
Flip-flops for when you don’t want your toes out.
Following the success of their debut collaboration — and fresh off a takeover at Copenhagen Fashion Week — Havaianas and 3D-printing pioneer Zellerfeld are joining forces once again. This time, the duo is expanding the boundaries of footwear design with an all-new silhouette: the Top Toe Mule.
Fusing Havaianas’ heritage and beach aesthetic with futuristic manufacturing, the Top Toe Mule reimagines the classic flip-flop as a fully-enclosed, hybrid slip-on. Retaining the Brazilian brand’s signature V-shaped strap and toe-post lines, the model adds structured, closed coverage for enhanced versatility across every setting. Engineered in a single continuous piece using Zellerfeld’s advanced 3D-printing technology, the shoe eliminates the need for glue or stitching, offering seamless cushioning and a bold, sculpted profile.
Designed with subtle side cut-outs, the new silhouette doubles as a canvas for creativity. To elevate the look, Havaianas is introducing a complementary split-toe sock collection in five matching shades, encouraging footwear enthusiasts to lean into the socks and sandals look in style.
“This project is a balance between familiarity and innovation,” shared Ieda Pavani, Havaianas’ Global Director of Design, in a press release. “While the new silhouette takes Havaianas into more closed and versatile territory, we carefully preserved the iconic V-shaped strap… It is an exciting step toward new ways of experiencing the brand.”
The Havaianas x Zellerfeld Top Toe Mule arrives in five colorways: a neutral “Oat,” “Black” and “Stone,” alongside vibrant “Lilac” and “Yellow.”
Pre-orders are open via the Havaianas website, with an official release set for October 14 across Havaianas retail locations and the Zellerfeld website.
