The Ordinary's New Lacto-PDRN 4% + B9 Eye Cream Is Built for Both Instant and Lasting Results

At Hypebae HQ, we put the brand’s innovative eye cream to the test.

The Ordinary has added a new solution to its eye care lineup with the launch of its Lacto-PDRN 4% + B9 Eye Cream, a hydrating formula built to bring brighter-looking eyes and fresher, less tired-looking under-eyes from the very first application, with continued improvement the longer it stays in rotation.

The formula centers on 4% Lacto-PDRN, a vegan alternative to salmon-derived PDRN, paired with Vitamin B9 (folic acid) and film formers. What sets this launch apart starts with the ingredient itself. Instead of using fish-derived PDRN, The Ordinary selected Lacto-PDRN, a biotechnology-derived vegan alternative chosen for its targeted data on the delicate eye area, in order to stay true to the brand’s commitment to vegan sourcing.

PDRN is having a moment, but what it actually does for skin isn’t always as clear, and this launch aims to bring clarity to the category, grounding in visible, clinically supported results for common under-eye concerns. The outcome is a nourishing cream clinically proven to promote smoother-looking skin, hydration and radiance, proof that efficacy and vegan sourcing can coexist in one accessible formula.

When it comes to benefits, the formula is designed to deliver immediate and long term results for the delicate eye area. From the very first use, it brings brighter-looking eyes, fresher, less tired-looking under-eyes, smoother-looking skin, and noticeable de-puffing benefits, alongside hydration and radiance that continues to build the longer it’s part of a routine. It also immediately firms the eye contour and reduces fine lines over time.

We put the cream to the test during a particularly chaotic 30 minutes at Hypebae HQ, because amid frantically meeting deadlines, it’s somehow still possible to find time for skincare. The Lacto-PDRN 4% + B9 Eye Cream glides on effortlessly, and wears seamlessly under concealer and foundation, with no pilling or creasing, making it the perfect solution for those who want maximum results in minimum steps.

To complete the routine, The Ordinary recommends pairing it with its GF 15% Solution for a simple, two-step approach: the serum for full-face renewal, the eye cream for the more delicate under-eye area.

Lacto-PDRN 4% + B9 Eye Cream is available for purchase at Douglas.de.
