Solange Is the Star of Jacquemus's New Moon Shoe Campaign
Debuting two new Spring-ready colorways.
Nike and Simon Porte Jacquemus just brought back the beloved Moon Shoe in two Spring-ready colorways, and they’re already at the top of our wish list. Landing in brown, “Sail” and pink, each shoe features the signature ruched nylon upper and Nike Grind outsole, merging balletcore with sportswear.
“Three years ago, when I first visited the Nike archives, I discovered an iconic piece, the Moon Shoe, timeless yet modern in its simplicity and execution,” began Jacquemus in the brand’s press release.
“I immediately saw the opportunity to write a new story and reinterpret it in our own way. Today, as we enter the second chapter of this collaboration, the Moon Shoe will be released in brown and white, alongside a pale pink edition. The choice of pale pink is rooted in the Jacquemus DNA as a sensual and naïve color that brings softness and intimacy to the silhouette, reshaping the icon through our own lens,” the designer added.
To celebrate the launch, Nike and Jacquemus tapped visionary artist Solange Knowles to star in the accompanying campaign. Take a look at her in action for the Moon Shoe above and head to your nearest Nike location for a chance to purchase the new colorways.
