Maison Margiela Unveils Six New Haute Couture Fragrances
Introducing the “Scentsorium” Collection.
Maison Margiela just unveiled six new genderless perfumes. The “Scentsorium” Collection consists of simple ingredients meant to play into the brand’s emphasis of stripped-back fragrance, while also revealing a new era of haute couture scents. Along with the multitude of complex scent profiles the capsule brings, “Scentsorium” is said to value material and craft above all else.
“The ‘Scentsorium’ Collection unveils the untamed essence of the very core of human. We meticulously captured the unfabricated truth of our most profound emotions – their intricate complexity, their opulent richness and their visceral intensity – by applying the rigorous precision of haute couture to raw ingredients,” the brand says in a press release. “This radical artistry in craftsmanship defines our entry into Haute Parfumerie, a landmark for the Maison designed to resonate with a discerning generation of connoisseurs who seek luxury in authenticity and profound depth.”
The “Scentsorium” range brings us varying perfumes inspired by the raw materials scent notes emerge from. “Blaze of Stillness” is musky and mysterious with notes of neroli blossom, fig and suede. Next, “Silent Fury” is spicy and seductive thanks to leather, spices and tobacco. “Anguish and Awe” is subtly sweet with black rose, fruits notes and suede. On the other hand, “Tender Defiance” is dark and smoky with liquorice, incense and smoke. “Delight in Despair” is complex with contrasting notes of cypriol and saffron. Lastly, “Fit of Folly” is unmistakably earthy thanks to patchouli and mineral musk.
The “Scentsorium” Collection ranges from $55 USD to $350 USD and will be available for purchase on the brand’s website.
