TTSWTRS Explores Skin and Spirituality in Its Latest Collection
With experimental printing techniques and tactile finishes.
TTSWTRS is continuing its exploration of the body and transformation with its “Skin Couture” line. First introduced during New York Fashion Week in September, through an immersive format combining projection art, sound design and live performance, we now get a closer look.
The collection moves between exposed skin and intentional construction, with sculptural silhouettes and tattoo-like imagery; the tactile layers are made to sit close against the body, almost as if merging with it. Evolving from the first “Skin Couture” chapter, this release develops the message of self-acceptance further by using imagery tied to faith and spirituality. The narrative takes a symbolic space where the body becomes something not only seen but believed in.
The pieces are experimental in their printing techniques and tactile finishes, featured in seven looks alongside accessories. One highlight is a look built around a bodysuit-tank and cycling shorts, shaped by a surgical narrative. TTSWTRS combines a hyper-realistic body print with layered and transparent silicone applications, a new technique for the brand.
Another standout piece is the beige bodysuit, made with a glossy coating that gives the illusion of a shimmer within the body itself. First, a tattoo print is applied and then covered with a glowy layer developed in the brand’s workshop to create a surface that feels as though the skin itself has been transformed. This is an entirely original presentation.
The otherworldly collection drops April 3 on the TTSWTRS website.
