SHUSHU/TONG Reimagines the 1930s Femme Fatale for FW26
Debuting its first sneaker in three two-toned colorways.
SHUSHU/TONG Fall/Winter 2026 takes its creative cues from the cinematic world of ‘Violette Nozière,’ a true story about an infamous young woman navigating the rigid social structures of ’30s Paris. This season, the Shanghai-based label studies how identity is constructed under the weight of the external gaze, offering a wardrobe for those who choose to write their own stories.
Presented at Shanghai Fashion Week, the design team translated this narrative through a blend of vintage silhouettes and modern, raw edges. Key looks include drop-waist dresses finished with bow accents and off-shoulder necklines that pull focus to the collarbone. The brand’s signature girlishness is present but evolved, appearing in the form of knotted shoulders, undulating trims and three-dimensional florals crafted from ribbons.

To add a layer of complexity, the presentation featured male models for the first time, using different body types to challenge traditional ideas of gender and performance. This choice was the consequence of male consumers wearing the label and because of the demand, the brand has now extended its size range.
Elsewhere, textiles play a heavy hand in setting the mood of the era. Green jacquards and gold velvet suggest a sense of past luxury, while fractured floral prints hint at a more turbulent internal state. A base of grey, navy, and nude technical fabrics provides a clean backdrop for pops of crinkled pink, yellow, and blue. Texture is further explored through tie-dyed corduroy, Italian fleece, and an abundance of faux fur used on capes, scarves, and waist cinchers.
The knitwear category sees a refresh with bias-cut mohair and diagonal stripes that break away from standard shapes. For the finishing touches, SHUSHU/TONG continues its partnership with YVMIN, delivering Art Deco-inspired jewelry with a metallic finish. Headbands shaped like brimmed hats pay direct homage to the film’s protagonist, while the footwear range expands to include color-blocked suede loafers. Plus, after the success of its cult-loved ASICS collaborations, the brand debuted its very own suede sneaker which arrives in three two-toned colorways.
