House of Sunny Channels British Seaside Kitsch in Its Latest Drop
Think striped deckchairs and faded charm.
Stripey deckchairs, ice cream vans and a slightly faded charm are all part of the quirky appeal of the British seaside, and House of Sunny is leaning into this enduring nostalgia for its SS26 “Coastal” drop.
Inspired by pretty harbor towns and seaside wardrobes, the lineup turns these coastal cues into a modern, fashion-forward wardrobe. Think sun-faded hues of washed mints, butter yellows and sky blues alongside stripes reminiscent of vintage deckchairs.
The collection also revives fan favorites, but with an added nautical twist. The signature “Tripper” cardigan returns with a fresh in-house print, while the ever-popular “Hockney” dress makes its comeback for those long-awaited warm spells. Materials are kept breezy and responsible, featuring recycled mesh and soft cottons, punctuated by a playful embroidered anglaise fish motif.
“We kept coming back to the idea of British seaside kitsch. The colors are never quite perfect, the stripes slightly off,” shared Sunny Williams, the brand’s creative director and founder. “There’s something nostalgic in that imperfection, and we wanted the collection to feel the same, not too polished.”
The result? A versatile, mood-driven wardrobe built for repeat wear, where sunshine and sea breeze go hand in hand. Seaside kitsch is officially in this summer.
The collection is now available via the brand’s website.
