Austin Butler Unveils YSL's Newest Fragrance
The brand’s beloved “MYSLF” collection brings us the new Eau de Toilette Intense.
YSL Beauty has tapped global ambassador Austin Butler to spotlight the newest addition to its cult-favorite “MYSLF” fragrance collection: the “MYSLF” Eau de Toilette Intense. Described by the brand as “minerally fresh, intensely musky and radically sensual,” the scent is directly inspired by the ever-changing nature of modern masculinity.
“When creating the fragrance, the challenge for us as perfumers was to push conventional expectations of the Eau de Toilette experience with a new intensity that is unmistakably YSL,” perfumers Daniela Andrier, Cristophe Raynaud and Antoine Maisondieu say in a press release. “Its modernity lies in being clean yet sensual and incredibly diffusive without ever being aggressive.”

Harping on the popularity of skin-first, musky scents, the new “MYSLF” Eau de Toilette Intense takes on a laundry-like, stripped down touch without straying from the original fragrance’s distinct sensuality. It first opens with bergamot and clary sage heart for a fresh effect. Then, orange blossom and geranium bourbon Madagascar give it the masculine flair YSL is known for. Lastly, base notes of white musks, patchouli, amber woods and cashmeran linger — delivering that irresistible skin musk quality.
“MYSLF” Eau de Toilette Intense retails for $155 USD and is now available for purchase on the brand’s website.
