UNIQLO Launches Its First Standalone Hijab Collection

The LifeWear line introduces three versatile styles, available in Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and the Philippines.

UNIQLO is expanding its LifeWear offering with a new collection designed to celebrate functionality, comfort and accessibility. The Japanese retailer unveiled its first standalone hijab collection, launching exclusively in Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and the Philippines.

Created with everyday versatility in mind, the range features three styles: the AIRism UV Protection Hijab, Satin Hijab and Georgette Hijab. Designed for different moments and needs, the AIRism option is crafted from the brand’s signature moisture-wicking, quick-drying fabric, making it ideal for warm and humid climates. Meanwhile, the lightweight Georgette Hijab offers a soft texture and fluid drape, while the Satin Hijab brings a more polished finish for special occasions.

Available in a triangular, one-size design, the Georgette Hijab comes in 12 shades ranging from olive and navy to pale blue and deep wine, while the Satin option is offered in six rich hues including rust, red and black.

The launch marks another step in UNIQLO’s ongoing exploration of modest fashion, following its previous LifeWear collaborations with Muslim British-Japanese designer Hana Tajima. With Indonesia home to the world’s largest Muslim population and Malaysia’s Muslim community making up the majority of its population, the debut reflects the brand’s continued focus on creating inclusive wardrobe essentials for a global audience.

The collection will debut in the Southeast Asian countries on August 17 via the brand’s website.
