Following up on the backlash of Rita Ora’s latest single, “Girls,” the artist has dropped a music video for the song. The track which enlists Cardi B, Charli XCX and Bebe Rexha has received flack via social media for its portrayal of the LGBTQ+ community. The video directed by Helmi begins with Rita surrounded by a diverse set of women donning lingerie in various nude shades.
Throughout the vintage-style video, the singer appears in a dreamy intimates set worn beneath a luxe, see-through tunic accentuated by her blonde and brown highlighted hair. Later on, viewers are transported to another setting when Charli XCX is seen in a forest wearing a stylish all-white look. Rexha then delivers her featured verses inside a funhouse mirror while she dons a red suit with a bejeweled beret. Last but certainly not least, Cardi B enters the video in the form of a glitzy hologram. After rapping, her and Rita share a dramatic kiss.
