With Wimbledon only a few days away, all eyes are currently on tennis starts on and off the court. Seven-time champion Serena Williams will be returning to the tournament and what better way to celebrate than by releasing her very own sneaker with Nike.
The Serena x Air Force 1 iD “Strong and Sure” retains the classic Air Force 1 Low silhouette and is crafted from a premium white leather with a plush, velvet lining. Subtle, cut-out detailing adorns the midfoot and and sides, creating a blocked-out Swoosh on the inner side and an “S” initial on the lateral. Lustrous laces and patent panels on the tongue and lacing unit add to the elegant appeal, complemented by a shiny gold Nike Air plate on the tongue. Rounding out the look are Serena Williams’ interlocked initials embroidered in metallic gold thread on the heel, and a playful strawberry emblem on the opposite foot – making these the perfect summer option for sneakerheads and tennis lovers alike.
“Strong and Sure” will be available on the NIKEiD platform, allowing fans to put their own personal spin on Williams’ limited-edition shoes. In honor of Wimbledon, the sneakers will release on July 2 in Nike Town London and on Nike.com, as well as the Nike App Exclusive shop in North America, for £115 GBP (approx. $150 USD).
