The Sneaker Edit: Vacation-Ready Picks Featuring Nike's Air Max 97 "Rain Forest/Team Orange"

In our last edition of “The Sneaker Edit,” we presented Nike‘s Air Force 1 “Jewel” pack and trendy picks from adidas Originals. This week, we are highlighting designs from New Balance, PUMA and more. The biggest standout sneakers include Nike’s Air Max 97 in “Rain Forest/Team Orange” and Y-3‘s Kaiwa surfacing in a yellow colorway.
New Balance serves up two different iterations of its 247 silhouette titled the “Beach” pack. One features the colorway “Marzipan/Sea Salt,” while the other gets dipped in “Aqua.” Both arrive with suede and nubuck uppers paired with rubber outsoles. Up next in our favorite designs of the week is Nike’s AM97 in “Rain Forest/Team Orange.” These Miami-inspired trainers come with a mostly silver upper with the tone “Forest Green,” wrapping completely around the mudguard. This pair also arrives with tonal accents, and a visible “Team Orange” Air Unit. They’re perfect for wearing with a bright piece like Gucci’s pink logo hoodie.
Y-3’s Kaiwa provides a bold summer footwear offering ideal for throwing on when you’re looking for a pop of color. The upper is created with yellow leather which is featured on the upper and midsole. Detailing is rounded out by a clean-cut, white midsole and a black Y-3 patch on the tongue. Style these with a cozy outerwear option by Off-White™.
If you’re more into footwear that features infused technology, PUMA’s Hybrid Rocket design might be the best option for you. Featuring the colorway “Glacier Grey/Winsome Orchid,” the form-fitting design comes with a unique lacing system. A feather-light, NRGY bead-filled midsole then provides top-tier solar return and cushioning.
