It Looks Like Apple Is Bringing Back the iPod Touch This Year

The 6th generation music player will have a new profile.

Apple is reportedly relaunching its iPod Touch according to Japanese Apple-tracking site Macotakara. Supply chain orders have surfaced that support a possible plan for the revamping of the music player.

The sixth generation of the iPod Touch was released in 2015. Since then, the iPhone has gained and perfected the Touch’s music playing functionality moving focus to the brand’s all-purpose mobile devices. In 2017, the company chose to discontinue the iPod Nano and iPod shuffle further straying from the music player consoles. It’s reported that the next generation of the iPod Touch would be for children and those who don’t have smartphones but still want access to music libraries and apps.

The official launch has yet to be confirmed so stay tuned for more information. In other Apple news, it looks like the second iteration of the AirPod is also on the way.
