UPDATE: For his second collaboration with the Swoosh, Matthew Williams is seeking inspiration in nature and technology. ”For this collection, we used computational algorithms to create the camouflage pattern,” Williams explained, adding that the pattern is traditionally derived from nature and “reveals things that are normally unseen.”
Featuring a range of multi-functional pieces featuring Sherpa fleece, two-in-one pants, utility vests and detachable hoods, the collection is set to retail between approximately $25 USD and $460 USD. 1017 ALYX 9SM designer Matthew Williams has just revealed that a second collaboration with Nike will be releasing this weekend in Paris. Coinciding with the 1017 ALYX 9SM show at Paris Fashion Week Men’s, the release will be a part of the brand’s anticipated presentation taking place on Sunday. The release will also be featured in an exclusive pop-up, which will open to the public on Saturday the 19th.
The release will feature a new sneaker which boasts a plastic shell over a trail runner-like silhouette, and features a range of customizable details throughout. Using a chunky Vibram outsole, the shoe is durable yet stylish, and is finished off with a white Swoosh and thin laces.
