Peep the Transparent Details on Blondey McCoy's Take on the Classic adidas Superstar
The rework of the iconic ’80s silhouette will drop on December 14.
Skateboard icon and model Blondey McCoy has teamed up with adidas Skateboarding on the latest iteration of the iconic ’80s Superstar silhouette. McCoy’s design pays homage to the celebration of individualism in New York City, where DIY attitudes and diverse creative energies collide.
“Having your name on a shoe is the highest honor you can be awarded. I wanted to do something that had never been done to it before,” says Blondey on the collaboration. The sneaker features the Superstar’s classic design along with a unique translucent upper, contrasted with the classic Three Stripes black overlay and white synthetic leather eyestays, tongue and heel tab. The pair’s finishing touch includes a gold foil name stamp that reads “BLONDEY.”
In addition to the drop, a trio of soccer-inspired socks designed by McCoy will also be available for purchase upon the release date. The knee-high accessory arrives with a custom River Thames graphic along with Three Stripes branding, and will be available in the colors blue, red and white.
