This Baby Yoda Toy Is So Cute It Has a 14-Month Waitlist

As The Mandalorian‘s Baby Yoda continues to provide prime meme fodder, toy makers have taken it upon themselves to create unofficial figurines of the adorable character in the absence of official Disney-licensed merch.
Russia-based Etsy store GakmanCreatures offers a handmade and fully posable Baby Yoda toy in two sizes, the “Tiny Master” and the “Baby Master,” both made of faux fur, polymer clay and pastels. The figurine perfectly captures the animation’s essence, spurring thousands of fans to purchase the item — right now, the toy boasts a 14-month-long waitlist.
“Due to the high demand, actual waiting period is at least 14-17 months after the date of purchase or even longer,” the toy’s product description reads. “This item can’t be delivered by Christmas 2019 and 2020.”
GakmanCreatures sells equally charming figurines of other popular animated characters including the Niffler from Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Alice in Wonderland‘s Cheshire Cat and perennial favorite Pikachu.
