Bottega Veneta Debuts Must-Have Bags and Footwear for Pre-Spring 2020
Daniel Lee continues to deliver covetable accessories for the modern woman.
It has been almost a year since Daniel Lee joined Bottega Veneta as the brand’s Creative Director, and so far, the Central Saint Martins graduate has already shown his prowess as a designer with a particularly strong grasp of accessories women want to buy and wear. One of his first creations for the Italian brand, the Pouch and the Maxi Cabat, have quickly gained popularity among the fashion crowd, with the minimalist clutch and oversized tote frequently appearing on our Instagram feeds.
After staging his first show for the fashion house during Milan Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2019 in February, Lee now continues to redefine modern luxury with a Pre-Spring 2020 collection. Adding a layer of pragmatism to the contemporary women’s wardrobe, tailored silhouettes like pantsuits, trench coats, leather midi skirts, and dresses designed with asymmetrical necklines are juxtaposed with functional wear coming in the form of anoraks and parkas.
The clothes are expertly styled with jewelry, footwear and handbags that new devotees of Bottega Veneta would probably like to introduce to their closet. Structural bags covered in neutral hues and subtle prints are seen throughout the lookbook, while Lee’s signature square-toe shoes — ranging from heeled loafers to peep-toe mules constructed with the brand’s iconic Intrecciato weave pattern — complete the effortlessly cool and sophisticated ensembles. Our favorites, however, would have to be those python-patterned strappy sandals that wrap around dress pants to create unexpectedly interesting proportions and volume.
