FILA Unveils Limited-Edition Disruptor Sneaker With The Phluid Project
The rainbow-accented design is available now.
FILA and The Phluid Project have collaborated on a sneaker ahead of WorldPride 2019 which is taking place in New York City this year. The Phluid Project is the world’s first gender-free flagship store launched as a passion project after crowdsourcing over $100,000 USD, and it is also known as the first official retailer of NYC Pride. Notably, this is the first-ever WorldPride being hosted in the United States, with three million visitors expected to attend the event.
The collaborative silhouette arrives in the form of a Disruptor in white. Detailing includes rainbow-inspired accents throughout the design. Rather than completely covering the trainers in the rainbow accent, the hits of color appear along the lacing system and near the middle of the shoe. A detailed LGBTQ+ flag is also placed on the back of each sneaker.
