AriZona Iced Tea & adidas Will Re-Release Its 99 Cent Sneakers at This Price

Back in 2018, AriZona launched a pop-up shop selling limited-edition apparel for 99 cents in New York City. This year, the ice tea company has linked up with adidas Originals releasing a range of four sneakers all inspired by AriZona’s signature color scheme.
The collection features two pairs of the Continental 80 and two pairs of the Yung-1. The silhouettes actually went on sale for 99 cents during its New York pop-up last week. However, due to the public’s safety, the NYPD temporarily shut it down. In a statement, adidas said:
“Both adidas and AriZona are grateful for those who came out and apologize for any inconvenience caused as a result of the shutdown. In an effort to prioritize the safety of fans and consumers, all parties made the decision to close the event with the support of local authorities.”
Thankfully, Footwear News has reported that the collaborative kicks will re-release but at a significantly higher price. The two versions from the range will now retail for $200 USD per pair. The launch date is yet to be announced, so keep a lookout on AriZona and adidas NYC’s Twitter pages for further updates.
We appreciate all the love and support for our collaboration with adidas Originals. As you know, public safety concerns ultimately ended our pop up before many of our fans had a chance to experience it.
