With the KAWS: HOLIDAY installation landing in Seoul, Taipei and Hong Kong, the next stop will be at Mount Fuji in Japan. To celebrate the landing, Herschel Supply, official sponsor for KAWS‘ fourth stop, has teamed up with the artist for some exclusive merch.
The 40 meter-long artwork will be displayed on the plateau of Fumotoppara Camping Ground in Fujinomiya, Shizuoka, with signature character Companion looking towards Mount Fuji. Following an opening ceremony and activation with a special camping experience for invited guests, the installation goes on public display on July 19.
An exclusive collaboration available only on the Fumotoppara Camping Ground during the exhibition dates, the two brands created the KAWS Heritage backpack, a reimagination of Herschel’s signature silhouette. Arriving in all-black, the bag receives a tonal KAWS Companion print and is lined with black on the inside. This item also features a 15” laptop sleeve and internal media pocket with a headphone port. Other than the backpack, the partnership also features a range of branded tote bags, tents and sleeping bags.
