UPDATE (July 17, 2019): The Balenciaga Track.2 Trainer has just been released. As shared before, the shoes arrive in three colorways – all-white, all-black and a color-blocked version featuring white, red and blue hues. While the shoes did not appear on the runway, they are launched as part of the Fall/Winter 2019 collection. Take a look at the video campaign below for looks from the season.
The Balenciaga Track.2 Trainer can now be purchased for $825 USD at the brand’s official web store and global retailers including SSENSE. More colorways are slated to drop soon, so stay tuned for updates.
Balenciaga debuts a follow-up design to its well-received Track silhouette dubbed the Track.2 trainer. The design has a bit more of a complex makeup than its predecessor. The model arrives in three colorways: a color-blocked iteration in white, red and blue, an all-white iteration and a version in all-black.
Detailing was created with maximalists in mind and is comprised of 176 separate pieces. Faux-worn athletic layers leave room for a more open-air structure that exposes metallic mesh and negative space. The aforementioned portion lies between overlapping panels attached to a dual-density EVA lightweight sole. Lastly, a “Track.2” emblem is embossed on the shoe’s tongue.
You can purchase Balenciaga’s Track.2 sneaker on June 18 on Balenciaga’s website. It will also arrive at global stockists like SSENSE on June 25, with more colorways to follow swiftly after.
