See all the crowd-favorite accessories and footwear this season.
It might be vacation season for the rest of the fashion world, but the Danes and international editors, buyers and street style influencers alike were already busy running between shows and presentations at the Spring/Summer 2020 edition of Copenhagen Fashion Week. Held from August 6-9, the biannual event brought out some of the most fashion-forward dressers in the industry, who offered much-needed style inspiration for transitional weather.
Color-blocking and bold pattern-clashing seemed to be the common theme this season, with many show attendees sporting vibrant-hued dresses — often covered in prints ranging from floral and polka dots, to gingham and leopard spots — paired with equally colorful accessories and footwear. Knit vests, tie-dye tops, knee-length shorts and oversized blazers were also popular items.
A new legion of Bottega Veneta fans and minimalism-inclined women looked très chic with the Daniel Lee-designed Pouch under their arms. Besides the leather-weaved clutch, we also spotted BOYY‘s top handle mini bag, GANNI‘s bucket bag, retro beaded sacs, as well as monogram-laden styles by Dior, Fendi and Burberry on the streets of the Danish capital.
The padded headband and hair clip trends that emerged during the Fall/Winter 2019 Fashion Month remained relevant. Many also accessorized with layered necklaces made up of gold chains, pearls and seashells, as well as large, statement earrings, western-style belts and and rain-resistant bucket hats.
On the footwear side of things, Nike‘s P-6000 and ZoomX Vista Grind seemed to be two of the most-loved new sneaker silhouettes among local fashion enthusiasts. Cowboy boots, hiking sandals, square-toe mules, strappy heels, Havaianas flip-flops and chunky, platform sandals were also frequently seen outside show venues.
