Cardi B, Travis Scott, Drake & More Lead in 2019 BET Hip Hop Awards Nominations

Following the BET Awards earlier this summer, the BET Hip Hop Awards are coming up soon. The nomination list for the annual music award show is out and it features everyone from longstanding favorites such as J. Cole and Jay-Z to new artists on the scene, including Megan Thee Stallion and Lil Nas X.
According to Billboard, Cardi B comes out on top with 10 nominations. Tying for second are DJ Khaled, Travis Scott and J. Cole with eight nominiations, and after that is Drake with seven.
Songs that have been playing all summer long including Cardi B’s “Money” and “Please Me” featuring Bruno Mars, as well as Lizzo‘s “Tempo” featuring Missy Elliott and Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus‘ “Old Town Road (Remix)” are featured on the nomination list.
Other nominees include Tyler, The Creator, The Carters, City Girls, 21 Savage, 2 Chainz and more. Also, a new “Best International Flow” category arrives featuring artists from around the world including Nigeria, UK, France, South Africa, Ghana and Canada.
