In Case You Were Looking for a Loafer-Sneaker Hybrid Shoe, It Exists
Created by the designer of Balenciaga’s Triple-S.
Earlier this summer, Balenciaga‘s Triple-S designer David Tourniaire-Beauciel launched his brand Shoes 53045 with a chunky Bump’Air sneaker. Now, the label has released an all-new Loaf’Air silhouette just in time for back-to-school season.
Arriving in an all-black colorway, the loafer-sneaker hybrid is inspired by classic penny loafers and whip-stitched slip-on footwear. The shoes are simultaneously nostalgic, bringing us back to ’90s highschool movies, and futuristic with space vibes. Sporting the brand’s signature double-bubble sole made with transparent air pockets and black rubber, the stacked shoe not only adds height to the wearer but also extreme comfort. Not only is the chunky loafer-sneaker leather-free, but for every shoe purchased, Shoes 53045 will make a donation to have one tree planted. Take a look below to see the shoes in action.
Shoes 53045’s Loaf’Air shoe retails for $450 USD and can be purchased on the brand’s online store. For more footwear releases, take a look at Vivienne Westwood x Vans’ collaborative collection.
