Nike's Latest Air Max 97 Is Sister to the Iconic "Silver Bullet"
“Le Silver” remade for the golf course.
The best release so far in the Nike Golf line, the latest rendition of the Air Max 97 is uncannily similar to the OG AM97 “Silver Bullet” sneaker, the colorway that we’ve come to know so well and love dearly. This 97 G model celebrates the original design – a full-length Air Max unit and “Metallic Silver” paint job – while pioneering the club-and-ball sport by adding a grippy outsole perfect for the golf course.
Making its debut back in 1997, the “Silver Bullet” was, is and always will be one of the hottest Nike Air Max models on – and off – the market. Adored for its sleek shape, streamlined lines and perfect color matching, the OG 97 sells out instantly, most recently dropping on the retail market back in 2017. To celebrate its original design, the performance and later lifestyle shoe has been reimagined as a sneaker that’s perfectly suited for a game of golf, coming with a toothed tread pattern on the sole for enhanced grip. Everything else remains the same: red Swooshes, full-foot Air Max unit and a mesh/synthetic upper construction coming in a shiny silver.
The Nike Air Max 97 G is available at Nike‘s website, so head over to cop the legendary look for £144.95 GBP (approximately $190 USD).
